Something people often wonder about…

Is the photographer skill to make the subject of this picture looking great, or is the subject itself really wonderful?

This is one of the most frequent people’s reaction after looking at my works. Actually I have to say that listening to (or reading) people wondering this makes me feel unease since I never know how to react.
On one hand I feel bad, almost insulted, because my stupid pride yells “You have doubts about my skill! How dare you?!”. On the other hand I can’t get angry at all because I ask myself the same question to myself and, because, yep, I think that the subjects catching my attention to the point to make me taking a picture of them are really wonderful or, at least, are showing an amazing Beauty.

All this discussion lead to a bunch of thoughts that I don’t want to write in this post.

Today I just want to show you something: a picture my brother took about 10 days ago.

Yep, this is Java and this is not bro’s best work.

Let’s say, this is his worse shot ever!
It’s obvious that my brother can take better shots than this (he is among the 2-3 people that can take a picture of me where I don’t look like my face is going to melt), but I guess this shot can answer a bit to the question opening this post.
