Photography VS fear
My Italian teacher at school didn’t like when someone (often just me) repeat a concepts in the essay, I understand him but some concepts were too amazing and I HAD TO repeat ;P
Why this 6yo memory? I have already wrote at least 2 pots about the way taking pictures is for me a great way to defeat those little but yet annoying fears.
What’s more terrible than a bee or a spider? Nothing! If I see one of these I tend to run away as fast as possible yelling i a way that it’s so barbie-brain woman that my father starts laughing out loud (since it’s quite unusual I behave this way).
My mother starts saying “you are the one who in her childhood cut dead fishes to see the way they are made. You have no problem to bury smelly dead animals we find in the backyard. You even enjoy to caress/get close to all kind of reptile you happen to see, WHY ON THE EARTH YOU FEAR A BEE or an INNOCENT SPIDER?!?”
Here a typical slice of my family-life… and of my constant non-sense.
All this is true until I am using my camera.
If I decide to take a picture of a bee or of something close to the area where a bee and wasp were enjoying some flowers… I just take that picture

That’s what happened on Sunday to take the 2 shots you can see in this post.

I am still amazed how I didn’t run away. I can’t explain HOW but I can say that I decided to control my fear, to still keep careful but don’t give taking those pictures.
Wish it could work for all other fears… maybe, who knows, someday it will happen.
P.s. this should be a strawberry flower.
