The endless activity

May 24, 2012

Cleaning up pictures.

Once again!

There are 2 main facts that make this “operation” an endless activity
1. If you keep taking pictures you’ll never finish to order them
(probably your pictures folder will be still messy the day you die)
2. If you stop at each folder to play with pictures…

you are kinda hopeless.

Calendar 2011

December 27, 2010

That’s the calendat that will be placed in our home corridor, just close to the phone so that it can both “decorate” the corridor wall and help who is at the phone getting anykind of appointments.

Nothing special but who will see it for the following 12 months enjoys it, therefore everything is fine! :)

Now, I’m going to start the projects of other calendars, I have no idea if they’ll be other 3 or 5… depending on “friends and relative request” that increase as soon as I show the “first work”.

Update:Of course there is always someone checking I didn’t set “creative days sequence” (see Sundays in February)… FORTUNATELY!

What am I supposed to do if…

October 16, 2010

I get angry and I can’t throw punches (with the wii) or prepare cookies, but I want to relax because I am too nervous to focus on my studies?

(Or, just if I’m lazy ;D)

Create a personal version of an old “joke” known among physicists, or people crazy enough to know a bit what Quantum Physicists can (virtually) do to a poor little kitty! :D

Some people might say that the nobel prize isn’t such a great reward nowadays, but that’s not the point of this image! ;)

Yep, the picture is an old shot of “Java the cat” (whose name tell a lot about what kind of people I know) and she’s inside a drawer. [No violence made on the kitty to take this shot]

Chatting about HDR

June 30, 2010

One of my best friend, a guy from Texas, recently bought a dslr. This made us having long chat about photography (cool!)

Yesterday we talked about HDR and we end up with screen-sharing to see “action” to do for editing a picture.

During a test I was doing with a couple of random picture, that I had taken an year ago and considered “crappy”, I got this result:

Not an HDR at all, but I see something of intriguing in it.

At least, I think so.

It finally bloomed

June 16, 2010

The sunflower I had planted on March 3rd bloomed a few days ago.

Yesterday wasn’t really sunny so I did play too much with lights in picture editing. ^_^

Time and editing

June 7, 2010

Picture taken on may 28th.
Sometimes a bit of patience and editing can help to show what you saw, in an unconscious way, when you had decided to take a picture.

The girl in the glass

April 22, 2010

Sometimes I feel that my lack in “artistic field” is something of terrible, especially when I think that I probably don’t have those skills you can gain and improve in art school.

I do my best to learn something by myself, but I don’t think I’m doing a great job… as a consequence when I take pictures I do my best to get something nice and/or interesting.

The “I miss something” feeling increase when I’ve to edit a picture, and think about the light… but again, I can’t do much so I just follow my instinct and search the best combination to my eyes.

In this constant search of Beauty, at times, happens that in the picture I find something “new” that looks “old”.

For example, this detail in the glass I use every day.
I’ve been looking at its light games many time in these last months and, today, after lunch, I’ve decided to take a picture of it because my attention was attracted to it . I can’t say what it was. I’ve just taken the picture as well as I could.

While I was editing the picture lights, to make it looking “nicer”, here appears the girl.

The girl with the pony tail who is running with wide-opened arms, as she has just seen someone she loves and hadn’t met for a very long time.

As soon as I understood what I was looking at, I felt like I’ve already noticed this detail but not in a conscious way, indeed, to be honest, I wasn’t able to see it when I was taking the picture.

No, there was no alcoholic drink in my glass and I don’t assume drugs, it’s just my imagination mixed with a little of “luck”. :)

____

Update. Daddy saw a girl doing an athletic active like “pole vault” or “high jump”. Like he saw the pony tail, the head, the arms and the chest oriented like I thought. While the lines under the “arm” on the right, should be the legs oriented toward the sky while the girl is falling down. :)

Unable to take a real-world-like picture.

March 24, 2010

I’ve taken this picture today, but this isn’t, clearly, as the flower looks like in reality.

The colors are different, not because I “changed” them with the editing pictures program, I changed the light, it’s like changing colors but not the same. I know it sounds crazy but… oh, well, if you like it ok, if you don’t, whatever!
