If I were less lazy…

September 13, 2014

I’d have taken a similar picture a few days ago

17th July 2014 - rain drops on pomelia

The above picture was taken on July 17th (2014) but a similar view was available a few days ago after a thunderstorm.

Funny how summer arrives and leaves with similar dance.
Random thunderstorms in the afternoon that announce or hot or cold days.

Getting closer to rain drops

July 17, 2014

I love rain drops,

it’s like discovering new little hidden worlds,

or better, little subsets of our world

Pomelia and rain drops - 17th July 2014

Just a short technical note:
I guess my new compact camera macro function is worth the money I spent for the camera.

Yet, I’m a little annoyed I cannot decide shutter speed and aperture, especially in macro mode, but well post editing helps with fixing lights a little.

Unstable

April 17, 2014

Weather is crazy.

Rain clouds and sun seem dancing on the notes of an endless music

They are alternating each other more than once in a few hours

Somehow mood is following this restless rhythm

Camera is turned off and I’ve no idea if I’ll ever turn it on again in the next weeks, maybe even months

If camera will kept off for this long I fear I can say “darkness is winning” or worse “darkness won”.

I’m trying to organise a taking picture day but I might fail…no time, even less energies

I’ve some pictures taken about 2 weeks ago that might be posted but little will to take care of them too

So, even if I know well that the thought”I’ll turn off blog” often triggers an avalanche of new pictures

I might quit activity for a while

Willy Bit?

I have a few of shots already baked and almost ready to be published but we’ll see.
Definitely not before the end of April.

Well.

It’s time to drop a (hopefully not) last slice of Beauty I found

Winter cry?

April 11, 2014

When wind blows strong in late march, some times I imagine a  grim-faced winter that is whining for the mess Spring is about to start.

Or maybe helping Spring to start

After the wind we have a few days of warm, in these days everyone is tempted to think “spring is definitely here”

And it’s then that comes a last period of cold (relative cold)
and here comes rains and since days are longer I can take pictures to rain drops

Last week end I have taken more pictures than expected

Week had been awful to the point I had barely energies to eat and study.

It changed my approach to those pictures that no, somehow, looks like a cry

Rain drops on flower - 6th April 2014

Maybe I waste time taking such useless pictures

Maybe

Quiet

April 7, 2014

Rain drop(s) - 5th April 2014

I love when it is silent if I have to study or I want to read

I have had very little access to silence in the last months.

It is true I love studying listening to music but music is not noise

I think these last two months turned off any will in me to the point I recall very little of what I was thinking while taking the above picture

But I recall one thing, it was quiet

A break of light between two rain moments

A break of silence between stressful noisy week-days

How I rest after an exam

July 24, 2013

Probably I’m wrong, but my concept of rest is “cleaning up and editing as many pictures as possible”.

Ok, I admit, clean up the picture folder is the most boring thing in taking picture. I think I already said it. Sorry
😀

It’s also a semi-torturing activity because there is always the temptation to edit a picture and share it,
but I try to ignore any editing ideas because my computer at the moment has less than 20GB free on disk and I don’t have much time

Raindrops on Bougainvillea - July 2013

but, despite all this, with this “work” I am forced to recall all the beauty I found so far.

Summertime 2013 – rain drops on hibiscus flower

July 8, 2013

Raindrops on hibiscus - 7th July 2013

Super busy, so many pictures collected but not edited or shared.

So many things to do and organize for the days and weeks.

Fortunately it’s the second Sunday in a row that I have to do nothing more than staying home to find something beautiful and unexpected.

Let’s hope it will last long enough to make me overcome the getting close exam-day.

What was unexpected? Rain. Ok, not that unexpected but a quick thunderstorm with a lot of rain isn’t exactly what happens often on early July over here.

Plus outside, after the rain, the light was super amazing.

Today we have a super cloudy, somehow scary, sky.  I took some pictures to the clouds, but sincerely I didn’t check those yet.

We’ll see.
